Anam Eijaz Ahmed Choudhary

Anam Choudhary

Anam Choudhary is the current Students’ Union UCL President. She recently graduated with an MSc in Management from UCL, studying at the university’s Canary Wharf campus. Prior to this, she completed her undergraduate degree in Mass Media and Communication in Mumbai, India.

During her time at UCL, Anam’s passion for student representation grew steadily. She became deeply involved in initiatives aimed at building a community and home for students, especially those navigating the challenges of postgraduate life in London. Her commitment to inclusivity and student wellbeing laid the foundation for her leadership journey.

As President, Anam is responsible for overseeing the implementation of fair and democratic processes within the Union. She is committed to the principles of open and effective communication and transparency. Her vision includes fostering a two-way dialogue between the Union and the student body—encouraging participation and feedback, while ensuring that the Union’s activities and services are both visible and relevant to the needs of its diverse membership. She also champions initiatives that promote financial stability and environmental sustainability, advocating for responsible practices that benefit both the UCL community and the planet.

Beyond UCL, Anam’s interests include gliding, badminton, and baking. She previously ran a home-based bakery in India and has a strong passion for mentoring having supported GCSE-level students academically during her time there.
