UCL staff elections to serve on UCL committees

Details of the places available for elected members of UCL staff to serve on one of UCL's formal committees.

The secretariat is responsible for coordinating the biennial election of UCL staff to serve on Academic Board, as well as the election of members of Academic Board to the following committees:

Academic Board

Elected non-professorial academic staff, teaching fellow staff and non-academic staff


Academic Board Executive Committee

Four Heads of Academic Units (including former Heads of Academic Units) elected by the Academic Board; four members elected by and from the professorial members and three members elected by and from the non-professorial members of Academic Board.


Academic Committee

Eight academic staff – including at least one professor and one non-professor from each School – elected by and from among the professorial and non-professorial academic staff members of Academic Board.


Council

Three professorial and three non-professorial academic staff members of Academic Board


Education Committee

Twelve members elected by and from the Academic Board


Governance Committee of Academic Board

Nine members elected by and from the professorial membership and six members elected by and from the non-professorial membership of Academic Board, and two members elected by and from Academic Committee


Library Committee

One member of non-professorial academic staff, elected by and from the elected non-professorial academic staff members of Academic Board


Research Degrees Committee

Three academic staff – including at least one professor and one non-professor – elected by and from among the professorial and non-professorial academic staff members of Academic Board
