Health Strategy and Partnerships Committee: Terms of Reference

Information regarding the UCL Health Strategy and Partnerships Committee's formal powers and responsibilities

Subject to any particular direction that may from time to time be given by the University Management Committee (UMC), the Health Strategy and Partnerships Committee is charged by the UMC:

  1. To provide leadership, strategic direction and institutional coordination for UCL’s major health partnerships including those involving capital projects and campus strategies;
  2. To oversee and shape the development of a UCL Health Strategy and plan;
  3. To guide the implementation of UCL strategy and engagement with local, UK and international health partnerships and initiatives in collaboration with RIGE and faculties, ensuring that UCL’s objectives from health relationships are realised;
  4. To consider emerging themes/opportunities in the external environment, and implications for UCL’s strategic priorities; 
  5. To ensure consideration of health partnerships in education and training;
  6. To consider strategic and cross-institutional matters relating to health partnerships and health strategy including institutional opportunities and risks arising from the Health and Life Sciences Leadership Group, RIGE and other Faculties and service areas;
  7. To make recommendations on health to UMC and Council, as required.
