Planning for densification and housing in London and Rome

Urban design, real estate and sustainability agendas in practice

This project investigates residential densification through analyses of recent strategies adopted in both London and Rome to address the housing crises.

The collaborative research and roundtable discussions will examine the influences of urban design, real estate and sustainability on strategies of densification and explore the role that urban design plays in mediating between the sometimes conflicting requirements of sustainable and property-led development.
