About Sophia

I have a Masters degree in Epidemiology from the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany. The title of my thesis was: "Investigating the epidemiological consequences of changes in costs for HIV antiretroviral therapy in South Africa". I have worked in different research institutions in Germany and Australia during the past few years researching a wide range of health-related topics . My main interests lie in medical statistics and infectious diseases, particularly HIV. I have started my PhD in medical statistics and HIV epidemiology at the UCL Institute for Global Health in January 2018.
