Peter Kazembe currently serves as the Executive Director at the Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation Malawi. He did his undergraduate medical training at the University of Manchester in England and subsequently did his paediatric training at the University of Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children in Canada. Before heading Malawi's first stand alone pediatrics HIV clinic, Dr. Kazembe was the chief of paediatrics at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe, the main referral hospital for the central region of Malawi. In addition to his roles in paediatric HIV care and research, he is involved in malaria research and control activities nationally and internationally and community maternal and child health research. He has previously served on the Technical Review Panel (TRP) of the Global Fund Against AIDS, Malaria and TB. He has also served and is currently serving on a number of WHO expert committees.
