Workshop: Private Sector Roles in Development and Governance in the Global South
4 May 2017
On 15 June 2017, the GGI and the UCL Development Planning Unit will co-host an international workshop on 'Private Sector Roles in Development and Governance in the Global South'.
The workshop forms part of an events series organised jointly with the French Embassy under the auspices of the long-established relationship between the French Embassy's Science and Technology Department and UCL Grand Challenges.
The workshop will be followed by a public evening lecture on "Turbulence, Change and Interruption: Working with Informality in West Africa", delivered by Prof Jane Guyer.
The previous event within the UCL-French Embassy collaborative programme took place in November 2016. Also hosted by the GGI, it focused on the Paris Agreement and its potential to drive forward effective climate governance. A Policy Brief summarising the workshop's discussions is available here: Climate Governance after the Paris Agreement.
