GBSH hears from IQVIA’s Joanne Hackett to kick off Welcome Week

We are very excited to welcome Joanne Hackett, Vice President of Genomic & Precision Medicine at IQVIA, to deliver the UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH) Inaugural Lecture and Reception this year.

As an experienced scientist, entrepreneur and public health strategist, Joanne leads on a fascinating area of digital health innovation at IQVIA.

IQVIA is a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and clinical research services to the life sciences industry. The company processes around 100+ billion healthcare records every year, using data and analytics to get the right treatment to the right patients.

Joanne’s role as Vice President of Genomic & Precision Medicine means that she is overseeing the exciting benefits of preventing, diagnosing and treating diseases by considering each person’s unique genetics, history and lifestyle. Her lecture on the public health applications for genomics and precision medicine will provide new students and esteemed guests with insights into the digital health innovations of the future and the exciting career paths available to them.

As part of our ongoing events at UCL GBSH, we pride ourselves on inviting global health leaders that have made significant contributions to health to talk about their insights and experiences of the industry.

Forming part of UCL GBSH’s continuing work to disrupt and reimagine global healthcare management, the Inaugural Lecture will give students the opportunity to ask speakers about their career progression.

Make sure to look out for other events throughout the academic year, including our Healthcare Leader Voices seminars which are open to the public. These feature prominent healthcare leaders discussing how to navigate the opportunities and challenges of working in the world of healthcare, with previous speakers including Dr Sam Roberts, Chief Executive of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and Dr Jit Saini, Senior Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs EMEA at Merck.
