Talk me through a typical day in the life as a GBSH student
My typical day is variable based on the timings of the seminar and guest lectures. It usually involves brushing over weekly readings and lectures, attending a seminar session, completing assignments or presentations, and attending an online workshop or guest lecture. The seminars, in particular, are exciting and interactive. We have a different activity focused on practical learning and collaborative teamwork every week. Although I live far from the campus, I spend most of my time at the Learning Hub in One Pool Street. What have you enjoyed the most since starting at the UCL GBSH?
I absolutely enjoy and look forward to our weekly face-to-face seminar sessions. The flipped classroom approach makes these seminars enjoyable and interactive. It brings up a sense of experiential learning coupled with discussion and exchanging views and ideas. The seminars involve brainstorming activities and instill the practice of teamwork, communication, and organisation in a fun yet educative way.
