Did you know that over 90% of maternal deaths are from families in low and or middle income countries? Also that in the United States, Black mothers have a 2.5x greater mortality rate than White mothers and in the United Kingdom this figure rises to 3 times? Our socio-economic status' greatly determine how we are treated in this world and our ability to access adequate healthcare, but this shouldn't be the case. Health equity would ensure that there is a global fairness and standard for health and wellbeing. we all have fair and just opportunity to fulfil our human potential in all aspects of health and well-being.

We cordially invite you to attend our Bringing health equality to the world seminar with guest speaker Nabeel Goheer, PATH’s chief of Asia, Middle East, Europe (AMEE) Region as part of our health leaders voices series.
This series invites leaders to speak frankly about their experience as health leaders. All of the speakers are individuals who have made an incredible difference to health and healthcare through their courageous and transformative leadership.
The series is designed to be highly interactive, with speakers presenting their thoughts for 20 – 30 minutes before opening up for an engaging conversation with the audience. These powerful stories that will be shared offer the audience opportunities to reflect and learn about the world of health and leadership.
About the Speaker
Nabeel Goheer
Chief of Asia at PATH’s, Middle East, Europe (AMEE) Region.

Dr. Goheer is a seasoned leader with near 25 years of professional experience. Before joining PATH, he spent the last ten years assisting and representing the Commonwealth Secretary-General while providing leadership in the areas of
strategy, governance, partnerships, portfolio, evaluation, technology, innovation, and digitalization. Before joining the Commonwealth, he worked with the International Labor Organization (ILO) at the United Nations, World Bank, United Nations Development Program, USAID, and the Government of Pakistan.
Dr. Goheer holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, Pakistan, a Master of Arts in International Development from the International University of Japan, a Master of Philosophy in Technology Policy from Cambridge and MIT, and a PhD in Management from the University of Cambridge. He also holds a Certificate in Macroeconomic Policy and Management from Harvard.
