The health of humanity is entirely dependent on the health of our planet. At UCL, we are uncovering the complexities of this relationship and asking how we can build a healthier planet for healthier people.
As these challenges cross borders and disciplines, our teams do the same. A sustainable future is the thread uniting our academics across dozens of fields, from bioengineering to clean energy to biodiversity preservation and public health.
Here, we champion global wellness. We place sport at the centre of a healthier future for all. Our built environment experts create smart spaces and places shaped by technology and neuroscience to enhance our wellbeing. Our Institute of Education is training teachers so children can adapt to a climate-altered planet.
Realising our ambitious vision to provide climate change education programmes to all teachers in all subjects will require the support of forward-thinking organisations and individuals who are committed to addressing the climate emergency.
When you support UCL, you support progress for the planet and its people. An investment in our Advanced Propulsion Laboratory will fund industrial-scale research that is helping decarbonise travel. Our academics pioneered the health studies that uncovered the intrinsic link between social status and health. Now they need help to explore plant-based diets that can fill the nutrition gap and nature-based solutions that will revolutionise food production, advance wellbeing, and lead to circular economies.
