What is GeoTunes?
GeoTunes is a space for UCL Department of Geography students and staff to share playlists based on geographical themes—a chance to explore places, ideas, and research through music.
Each playlist comes with a short write-up explaining the inspiration behind the selections, offering a personal glimpse into the musical landscapes that shape our work.

"To mark the Spring Equinox on Thursday 20th March, I have created a playlist of some of my favourite sun-related songs. Admittedly, some of the actual sun references are a bit loose, but I hope you enjoy the playlist nonetheless!
"I’m not a geographer so, perhaps controversially for someone working in a geography department, I don’t view the Spring Equinox scientifically but spiritually. For me, Spring Equinox is an awakening; a time for new, fresh energy and growth.
"I invite you to welcome the new season by listening to these songs outside, to sing and dance, and celebrate sunny days ahead. But, as per the final song, wear sunscreen…"
