Join us for a special guest talk by Professor Henry Yeung exploring the challenges and consequences of shifting global production networks in an era of geopolitical tension and industrial reshoring.
In this timely and thought-provoking talk, Professor Yeung considers how changes in global economic organisation — particularly the reshoring of semiconductor manufacturing and new state-led industrial strategies — are reshaping regional development patterns. Drawing on recent case studies and decades of research, he argues that these reactive shifts may deepen, rather than reduce, spatial inequalities.
