People and communities around the world are facing social inequalities, poverty and the global climate crisis. These multifaceted societal challenges need innovative thinking to solve them.  

Join our virtual information session to discover how UCL’s postgraduate courses are equipping students with new, interdisciplinary approaches in prosperity, urban studies and gender – and opening pathways for future leaders and change-makers.  

A taster lecture from our academics across the UCL Department of GeographyUCL Institute for Global ProsperityUCL Gender and Sexuality Studies, and UCL Urban Laboratory will be followed by introductions to our master’s courses, and a chance for you to ask your questions with our academic experts.

Our masters degrees

Across our UCL departments we have a range of innovative master’s degrees that are tackling global challenges by combining expertise from multiple academic disciplines.

  • Environment, Politics and Society MSc - An academic course exploring the way scientific, political and cultural practices shape our understanding of the relationship between society and the environment.
  • Global Prosperity MSc - A pioneering transdisciplinary course designed to foster a new generation of social leaders ready to tackle global challenges and rethink what global prosperity entails in different parts of the world. It trains you to think critically about current social, economic and political models, and find innovative and inclusive solutions to drive transformations.
  • Gender, Society and Representation MA - Exploring the historical and contemporary challenges arising from changes in gender relations in a range of contexts and sexuality as expressed in social, cultural and political life.
  • Global Urbanism MASc - Equips students with the critical skills and specialist knowledge to operate as an urbanist in today's global environment, collaborating across sectors to tackle urgent challenges and shape fairer cities.
