ICGNMD PI awarded prestigious medal

ICGNMD is delighted to share the news that our South African lead, Professor Francois van der Westhuizen from North-West University, Potchefstroom, has been awarded the prestigious Hofmeyr-Van Schaik Gold Medal by the South African Genetics Society (SAGS).  This reflects his outstanding work with colleagues at the NWU Mitochondrial Research Group, as well as his many international collaborations, including ICGNMD.  Congratulations Francois!  You can read more about Professor van der Westhuizen’s work here, learn more about the prize here, and about the South African Genetics Society here.
