Neurological Gene Ontology Annotation Newsletter July 2018
Our latest neurological newsletter sums up the outcomes of the GO annotation of proteins interacting with the microtubule-associated protein tau, it provides details of dementia-relevant microglial proteins - our first annotation topic in the neuroinflammation theme, as well as it outlines our most recent contribution to the collaborative SynGO project. The newsletter also gives a summary of meetings and conferences, which we attended, as well as it announces a merger of our neurological and cardiovascular newsletters in autumn 2018.
New microRNA GO annotation paper published
Our latest paper "Expanding the horizons of microRNA bioinformatics" is now available as a pre-print on the RNA Journal website. It talks about the need for high-quality curated functional annotation for microRNAs and demonstrates how Gene Ontology annotations can be used to directly analyse microRNA function.
