Gregory Thompson, UCL Creative Entrepreneur in Residence, is matching UCL academics with world class performing artists to enhance, extend and disrupt their research to yield deeper or surprising outcomes. 'Improbable' have been creating extraordinary live performances in a variety of spaces and genres for the last 19 years, and at the heart of each lies the practice of improvisation. This practice is leading 'Improbable' into ever more exciting areas including conversations with UCL computer scientists about improvisation and virtualenvironments. Hear Phelim McDermott and Lee Simpson share their practice, offer some insights into creativity and talk about their early ideas for an International Institute of Improvisation that will help tell the story of both improvisation and 'Improbable'.
