The aim of the lecture is to provide the general public with a better understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies. These terms have become very popular but do we know what do they mean?

This lecture will address the questions 'How does bitcoin work?', 'what is blockchain technology?', 'what are bitcoin?' and 'what is the economic inner nature of bitcoin - is it money or is it something else?' The lecture will also explore why bitcoin prices are so volatile and if bitcoin and blockchain are useful for the general public.
