'Journey of Recovery: Supporting health & wellbeing for the communities impacted by the Grenfell Tower fire disaster: the development of a health needs assessment'
From October 2017-July 2018, a public health team in Kensington & Chelsea Council where the Grenfell Tower fire disaster occurred, carried out a needs assessment. The approach attempted to synthesise understanding of the health needs of the population before the fire, evidence from other disasters about the potential long term impact, analysis of public services data to understand the impact at that point in time and the views of local community residents on recovery. Journey of Recovery was published in July 2018, with 11 Foundations for the Future and 8 recommendations to help inform the development of a recovery strategy.
