16 June 2022
Huge success for second year BA Comparative Literature student Sofia Anfoka Diaz at the annual Austrian literature competition WriteAUT.

Sofia Anfoka Diaz has entered this year´s WriteAUT literature competition "Dreaming about writing. Writing about dreams" organised by Austrian lecturers at 11 universities across the UK and Ireland and hosted by the Austria Cultural Forum London and the OeAD (Austrian Academic Exchange Service).
Sofia´s German poem entitled "Die Herkunft der Träume" has come second in the competition and has been published in the annual WriteAUT magazine.
Sofia said "I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported me and continues to do so in my creative writing endeavours. Your encouragement and unwavering belief in me have always been a constant source of inspiration for my writings. I would also like to thank the WriteAUT magazine for making it possible for numerous voices to be heard every year through their creative texts. I firmly believe in the curative and transformative power words can have, and so, to everybody who shares this belief, let your imaginations run wild, never stop writing, the world is a better place because of it."
We are very proud of Sofia and her passion for the German language. Congratulations!
