SELCS-CMII Senior Promotions 2020/21

SELCS-CMII staff have been extraordinarily successful in this year's round of senior promotions. Our congratulations to 7 new Professors and 4 new Associate Professors: Geraldine Brodie, Professor of Translation Theory and Theatre Translation; Mererid Puw Davies, Professor of German Studies; Jane Gilbert, Professor of Medieval Literature and Critical Theory; Catherine Keen, Professor of Dante Studies; Deborah Martin, Professor of Latin American Film and Culture; Claire Thomson, Professor of Cinema History; Ulrich Tiedau, Professor of European History; Elettra Carbone and James Connolly, both Associate Professors, and Cristina Massaccesi and Mazaltob Oaknin, both Associate Professors (Teaching).

This was the 4th round of promotions to be based on the new UCL Academic Careers Framework and saw 19 members of UCL academic staff from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities gaining promotions for their outstanding contributions to research, education and enabling and leadership at UCL.

The UCL Academic Careers Framework is designed to support every type of academic career path, making sure that personal impact is measured consistently across UCL.

Promotions are effective from 1 October 2021.
