Personal Information

Originally from Germany, Rene joined EISPS in December 2021.

He graduated from Goethe University Frankfurt with a first-class BA in English and American Studies, focussing on English linguistics, which included an Erasmus+ exchange semester at the University of Southampton.

During his studies, Rene already worked in academic administration by freelancing as an exam supervisor for Cambridge English at some of their German exam centres. After making England his permanent home in 2018, he held a number of fixed-term administrative positions at the University of Oxford and the University of Southampton.

Together with the Programmes Manager and the Teaching and Learning Administrator, Rene now looks after the administrative side of EISPS. He focusses on admissions and examination processes, with a strong dedication to quality assurance. However, he also has an open ear for any queries regarding teaching arrangements or other student-related matters.

Rene continues to do some limited freelance work for Cambridge English at exam centres in the London area. In 2021, he made contributions to the global regulations for administering the exams from 2022 onwards.

In his free time, Rene enjoys reading, swimming, coastal walking, and going to the theatre.
