Statement from the Head of Department, EISPS

On behalf of EISPS, I am very happy to welcome everyone back to UCL for the new academic year. And this year, I mean "back to UCL" more literally than ever before. For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, we are able to return to our campus in Bloomsbury and take up face-to-face teaching and other on-campus activities which we have missed out on. (read more...)

Our Programmes

European and International Social and Political Studies (EISPS) currently offers three programmes: European Social and Political Studies BA; European Social and Political Studies BA: Dual Degree with Sciences Po; and International Social and Political Studies BA. The programmes combine specialisation in a humanity or social science with a broad base in European or international history, law, politics and philosophy as well as fluency in a foreign language.

About EISPS

ESPS and ISPS are multidisciplinary programmes focusing on Europe and other regions of the world. The BA in European Social and Political Studies was created in 1991. The Dual Degree began in 2012 and the BA in International Social and Political Studies started in 2019.

EISPS attracts applicants from many different countries; the degrees produce graduates who go on to undertake research or professional training and take up employment in a range of fields such as journalism, government or business, in the UK and internationally.
