In Stockholm, the ELML Lost & Found pop-up exhibition was inaugurated during the UCL Alumni Reception held on 17 February 2025 at the Downtown Camper by Scandic.

Attendees, including UCL academics such as Professor Geraint Rees, Vice-Provost (Research, Innovation and Global Engagement), and Dr Uta Staiger (Executive Director of the UCL European Institute), had the chance to explore the interactive map and reconnect with UCL’s large alumni community in the country.

The project sparked new conversations with literary and academic institutions in Sweden – from the Kungsholmen Library to Uppsala University, from the Årsta Society for Fredrika Bremer Studies to the Swedish Literature Bank, and we look forward to more pop-ups in the future.

We are also teaming up with the Swedish Book Review to produce a Special Issue featuring newly commissioned translations of Swedish authors writing in and about London.
