Truth, Democracy and Rule of Law: Academic Ambition at UCL

The initiative brings together academics across disciplines within UCL to discuss the contributions that UCL and universities more broadly can make to address some of the most pressing challenges of our day: how truthful discourse can be upheld in the face of multiple threats; how democratic principles can be realised more fully; and how the rule of law can be protected. As part of wider EI interests in academic freedom, truth and mendacity in politics, or the rule of law, we look forward to working with the initiative’s leads - Professor Alan Renwick (Political Science) and Professor Erin F Delaney (Law) - and colleagues from across faculties and disciplines.
