Hayley Anderson

Hayley is in her final year of a Bachelor's degree in European Social and Political Studies and serves as 2024-25 European Institute Student Ambassador. With her specialism in Hungarian and History, she has focussed her research on the experiences and identities of communities in Eastern Slovakia and the wider Central East Europe region. 

In her profile, Hayley writes:

I’m super interested in how difficult histories are grappled with in small town settings, and my dissertation centred on reconstruction projects that are relying on civic participation to uncover buried or unacknowledged pasts.
