Communications and Outreach Intern

The European Institute is seeking a part-time communications and outreach intern to provide pro-active and professional communications support in order to help maximise the European Institute’s profile and visibility, internally and externally. Duties will include the curation of our monthly newsletter, event promotion and organisation, maintenance of the UCL Europe blog, liaison with European Institute Student Ambassadors and support across the Institute’s social media channels.

Location: London
Type: Ad hoc contract via Unitemps (ca. 5 hours / week)
Salary: Grade 5, spine point 15 (£14.14 / hour)
Closes: 5pm, Wednesday 9 October 2024
Duration: October 2024 for the academic year, subject to review

Internship: European Literary Map of London 

The UCL European Institute is seeking to appoint a part-time intern to work with us on two humanities-based projects, the European Literary Map of London and Black Europe. The intern will populate the European Literary Map with existing material, research new entries, provide services in relation to an associated exhibition, writer in residence scheme, and engagement with external partners. The postholder will also support a team of academics working matters of race and racism in Europe – and the study thereof.

Location: London
Type: As and When: 30 hours overall in the first instance
Salary: Grade 5, spine point 15 (£14.14 / hour)
Closes: 5pm, Wednesday 9 October 2024
Duration: 1 November 2024 to 30 June 2025
