Call for pitches - BOZAR's MAYDAY Magazine

Every year, the BOZAR Centre for Fine Arts, one of Belgium's most important cultural institutions, organises 'May Days': a month-long programme of debates, lectures, exhibitions and performances, starting on Europe Day (9 May) and reflecting on topics germane to Europe.

For the past two years, as the pandemic made it difficult to organise large, in-person events, MAYDAY Magazine has been central to this debate.

A call is now open inviting pitches for features stories (1200-2000 words), personal stories, photo series, photo essays, infographics, illustrations and comics on the this year's theme: 'Europe at War'. 

The deadline for pitches is 11 March 2022. Read the full call and submit your pitch here. 

Pitches from young people are particularly encouraged.

The European Institute is contributing to the programming for May Days 2022, and Elke Kristoffersen, Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy at the BOZAR, sits on the Institute's Advisory Board.
