UCL Funding Opportunity: Rome Regional Engagement Fund

6 November 2017

Rome

Part of a new series of region specific funds from the Global Engagement Office, this fund aims to support UCL academics collaborating with colleagues based at institutions in Rome, or UCL academics collaborating on research or teaching focussing on the region.

Purpose
Aiming to facilitate new partnerships, or to further develop existing links, this new funding programme is led by Dr Florian Mussgnug, School of European Languages, Culture and Society and supported by the Pro-Vice-Provost (Europe), Dr Uta Staiger and the Global Engagement Office.

Projects within the call should incorporate at least one public, private or student-focussed event, ideally to take place in Rome between March - June 2018.

The UCL Global Engagement Office particularly welcomes proposals that:

  • showcase the range and diversity of research and research-led teaching at UCL
  • underpin and develop existing collaborations with academic and non-academic partners in central Italy, and
  • provide new visions for UCL's continued presence in continental Europe, through outward-facing, collaborative, internationally networked, critical and creative initiatives.

Value
£3,500 per workshop is available, or up £5,000 for joint bids from two or more academics working in different departments.
