To make a responsible voting choice in the referendum, facts need to be fitted into a bigger picture. Deciding to leave or remain in the EU requires estimating the possible consequences of the choice. Estimating consequences requires a chain of reasoning. And reasoning always involves the danger of fallacies. In his spirit, this Short Handbook, authored by Albert Weale, identifies some common errors of reasoning in the referendum debate.
