Alex Hills Septet for 11 players (world premiere)
Two pieces by Royal Academy lecturer Alex Hills exploring the music featured in Proust’s À la recherche du temps perdu, programmed alongside 20th-century French chamber music.
The culmination of a collaboration with University College London philosopher Tom Stern, engaging with the ideas of time, memory and history, as well as musical sources that inspired Proust.
