In this lecture, Giuliano D’Amico (Associate Professor at the Centre for Ibsen Studies, University of Oslo) will introduce what may be termed the 'digital humanities' turn in Ibsen Studies, which culminated in the publication of two recent monographs, A Global Doll’s House. Ibsen and Distant Visions by Frode Helland et al. (2016) and Ibsen on the German Stage 1876-1918: A Quantitative Approach by Jens-Morten Hanssen (2018). D’Amico will highlight the advantages and challenges that these new methods pose to current and future Ibsen Studies.
Light refreshments will be provided!
