The UCL Department of History is hosting an evening discussion on this history of American intellectual engagement in Italy. The event marks the launch of Axel Körner's new book, America in Italy: The United States in the Political Thought and Imagination of the Risorgimento, 1763-1865, published by Princeton University Press.
