Recent work on perpetrators, collaborators and bystanders in Nazi-dominated Europe has focused on the complex and ambiguous behaviours and motivations of those implicated. The workshop will explore wider aspects of perpetration, complicity and collaboration from interdisciplinary perspectives, including history, education, film and literary studies, and psychoanalysis. Papers will discuss concepts, practices and different forms of representation and self-representation. The workshop will also feature and showcase doctoral research in a poster presentation.
The workshop is organised by UCL's Centre for Collective Violence, Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the Institute of Advanced Studies.
Registration is free and refreshments will be provided. For queries, please contact Stefanie Rauch.
