On the basement floor of the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (GOS ICH), Chef Nosa is serving up delicious and satisfying hot lunches.

Staff and students at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (GOS ICH) have a new reason to head downstairs at lunchtime. On the basement floor, Chef Nosa is serving hearty, flavour-packed meals that put beans and pulses on centre stage.

This term’s menu showcases ingredients that are often overlooked, transforming them into comforting, satisfying dishes. Think golden, creamy pasta bake with squash, butterbeans and mushrooms, richly layered lentil and aubergine moussaka, and fragrant chickpea korma with roasted tofu. Each dish is designed to be both nourishing and indulgent, showcasing just how versatile beans can be.

Beyond their flavour, beans, peas and lentils offer significant nutritional benefits. They are naturally high in protein and fibre, rich in key micronutrients such as potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc, and count towards your five-a-day.

Chef Nosa’s menu provides an easy and delicious way for staff to incorporate more of these nutrient-rich foods into their diets. Whether you’re looking to try something new or simply enjoy a comforting lunch, the refectory offers a welcoming space to do just that.
