New Resources Available for Fire Safety

Updated fire safety information, including mandatory fire safety training, is now available. Please familiarise yourself with this as soon as possible.
UCL’s Fire Safety website and Fire Safety SharePoint (UCL One Login In required) has been updated with new and updated resources for staff to support practical fire safety.
As well as information about mandatory safety training, this includes:
- Building fire risk assessment
- Building Fire Safety Documentation
- Building fire drills reports and Information
- Evacuation support for people with mobility or sensory impairment
- Fire evacuation marshals
- Guidance for managers and Heads of Departments
- How to report a fire and get help
Staff who oversee projects need to ensure that contractors working at UCL have adequate fire safety management plans and arrangements in place covering all aspects of work. This information is available on the Fire Safety SharePoint under Fire Safety Employers’ Requirements and gives clear guidance to project managers on avoiding triggering false alarms, fire safety on site and onboarding contractors.
