Training dates are available for staff with line-management responsibilities to increase confidence in and awareness of supporting Disabled and Neurodivergent staff through reasonable adjustments
In response to the recently published new hybrid working guidance, training is available to staff who have line-management responsibilities for Disabled and Neurodivergent staff. It is designed to raise awareness, and advise on the implementation, of reasonable adjustments.
The training will be delivered by Dr Lizzy Allman (EDI Manager and Disability Equity Lead), and will cover the following areas:
- The Social Model of Disability and the importance of reasonable adjustments
- The law and the legal requirements for reasonable adjustments
- How to provide appropriate support for Disabled and Neurodivergent staff
- Support available at UCL for line managers and Disabled and Neurodivergent staff
Training dates
The sessions will last 2 hours with a short break midway, and will be run via Microsoft Teams.
Sessions for 2024-25 are:
- Wednesday 27th of November 2024, 10am - 12pm noon
- Monday 13th of January 2025, 2 - 4pm
- Thursday 6th of February 2025, 10am - 12pm noon
- Wednesday 5th of March 2025, 2 - 4pm
- Tuesday 8th of April 2025, 10am - 12pm noon
- Thursday 1st of May 2025, 2 - 4pm
- Wednesday 28th of May 2025, 10am - 12pm noon
- Monday 23rd of June 2025, 10am - 12pm noon

*Training is also open to HR Professionals, EDI Leads and those who may have responsibility for organising Reasonable Adjustments within their departments.
