Research interest Severine Sabia is particularly interested in the impact of clustering of health behaviours on cognitive ageing and also on age related decline in physical function. She is keen to explore the role of socioeconomic factors, as effect modifiers or confounders, in the association between health behaviours and functional outcomes of ageing. Her longstanding interests are in methodological issues of statistical analysis: cubic splines, bootstrap method, longitudinal analyses with repeated data, missing data, etc.
Severine Sabia’s post-doctoral research examines the role of health behaviours - smoking, alcohol consumption, dietary behaviour and physical activity - on trajectories of cognitive and physical ageing.
