Your time at UCL
Why did you choose to study at UCL?
I initially chose to study at UCL because I wanted to study in London and I loved the UCL campus. After that I found a course that matched up to my interests and sent off an application.
What’s your favourite / most memorable memory of your time as a UCL student?
Getting a Faculty scholarship was an amazing experience and removed a lot of my financial worries. I also mostly remember spending a lot of time in the UCL Library! The UCL Science Library has become quite a nostalgic place for me.
Life after UCL
What did you do in the year immediately after graduating?
I stayed in London and went straight into a MSc in Gender at the LSE.
What is your current role? What’s a regular day like?
It involved a lot more studying!

My undergraduate degree helped me to develop a perspective and understanding of society that has remained with me - particularly in the subjects that I have studied and written about beyond UCL. It also massively improved my writing ability and confidence.

What advice do you have for current students?
Talk to the Academics and make use of the time they have to offer you. Department and Faculty members want you to do your best are really great at helping you to figure out how to do that!
What is your lasting impression of UCL?
UCL was a very important period in my life!
