International Cancer Benchmarking Partnership (ICBP) Module 2

The ICBP is an international collaboration between academics, policymakers and experts to understand why cancer survival differs between European countries: UK, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.  Specifically, module 2 aims to explore population differences in awareness and beliefs about cancer to drive policy, benchmark current trends, and guide the development and targeting of interventions to improve awareness and challenge negative beliefs.  We are focussing on the UK data, to examine factors associated with delayed help-seeking for cancer symptoms, which include symptom awareness, risk factor awareness, barriers to presentation, cancer beliefs and demographics.

This project was funded by Policy Research Unit in Cancer Awareness, Screening and Early Diagnosis (PRU).
