HPV vaccination in Black and minority ethnic groups

Although overall uptake of the HPV vaccination is high in the UK, evidence is emerging of significant ethnic disparities in coverage. This project aims to understand the reasons for lower uptake, specifically among girls from Black and Asian minority ethnic groups, and to develop a theory-based intervention to increase informed uptake.

The project has been active since January 2015 and is funded for 3 years by a Cancer Research UK/Bupa Foundation Cancer Prevention Fellowship awarded to Dr Alice Forster.
