ABSTRACT
This talk will give an overview of the results of the largest UK study of NHS workers’ mental health through the COVID-19 pandemic. NHS CHECK is a longitudinal cohort study of >23,000 members of staff from 18 different NHS Trusts. We have collected online survey data about mental health and occupational factors, at three time points through the pandemic, with a fourth data collection planned in the coming months. We have collected qualitative interview data on experiences of moral injury, and support services available. We have also collected diagnostic interview data, and run an RCT of a smartphone wellbeing app.

About the Speaker
Dr Danielle Lamb
Senior Research Fellow at Department of Applied of Health Research
Dr Danielle Lamb is a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Applied of Health Research at University College London, working within the NIHR ARC North Thames.
My research focusses on the mental health of people at work, predominantly those working in the NHS and other public sector roles. I am a mixed methods researcher, with experience of a wide range of study designs and analysis: longitudinal cohort studies, qualitative research, RCTs, big data linkages. I value collaboration and inclusivity, and fully support involving service users and providers in research.
