Development of a digital intervention to promote healthy growth during the first 2 years of life

The overall aim of this study is to develop new content delivered through the Baby Buddy app that will help reduce rapid infant weight gain during the first two years of life, among infants who are fed formula either partly or exclusively, whilst also actively promoting breastfeeding. The 18-month project (2021-2022) is led by Dr Clare Llewellyn, in collaboration with researchers at Cambridge University (Professor Ken Ong and Dr Raj Lakshman) and the UK charity Best Beginnings (who host Baby Buddy) and is funded by the Medical Research Council.
