2nd ICCR-DRR Workshop on International Research Network on Disaster Risk Reduction

On December 7, EPICentre will host the second ICCR-DRR Workshop on "International Research Network on Disaster Risk Reduction". This collaborative workshop between Nepal, Bangladesh, China and UK, aims to provide a platform for international communication and knowledge, technique and experience sharing on disaster risk reduction.

Experts from University of Dhaka (Bangladesh), National Society for Earthquake Technology (Nepal), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and Beijing Normal University (China) will come to UCL to attend this workshop to discuss and share their experience with researchers in UK on disaster risk reduction.

Venues: Morning 9am-1.00 pm Lecture room 102 Chadwick Building, and afternoon from 2pm in lecture room 335 Rockefeller Building.

The International Centre for Collaborative Research on Disaster Risk Reduction (ICCR-DRR) is established as a part of the Sharing and Learning on Community Based Disaster Management in Asia ("CBDM Asia") Programme Phase II. Under CBDM Asia Phase II, ICCR-DRR aims at promoting collaborative research on cutting-edge topics and key techniques of disaster risk reduction. The aim is to help developing countries to strengthen their academic exchange and technological applications in disaster risk management, while fostering global and regional collaborative partnerships.
