Our free workshops will help you explore entrepreneurial ideas, develop new skills and start work on your own venture. All workshops and events are overseen by experienced entrepreneurs.

Introductory courses on entrepreneurship

These short workshops will introduce you to what entrepreneurship is about. You’ll also develop transferable skills which could help you set up a business or charity, work as a freelancer or consultant, or in whatever career you choose.

Practical programmes to help you set up an enterprise

If you have an idea you're ready to turn into a business or social enterprise, these programmes will take you through what you need to do, step by step.

For: Students and recent graduates with an idea to test
Location: UCL BaseKX, 103c Camley Street, London N1C 4PF
Duration: 6 weeks (2.5 hours a week)
Format: Interactive, activity-based workshop

Start to turn your idea or passion into a viable business or social enterprise. Work alongside other entrepreneurs to sharpen your skills and stress test your idea. You could also win a share of £2,000.

For: Students and recent graduates with a tested idea
Location: UCL BaseKX, 103c Camley Street, London N1C 4PF
Duration: 8 weeks (2 hours a week)
Format: Interactive, activity-based workshop

Once you have stress tested your idea, this programme will help you take the next practical steps to develop your business or social enterprise. You could also win £3,000 to develop your business.

For: All MRes and doctoral students, and recent research graduates

Duration: 2 days in-person, and 3 half-day online sessions
Format: Interactive workshops

Learn how to establish an impactful startup or social enterprise, or an enterprising project within a bigger organisation (academia or industry).

For: All MRes and doctoral students, and recent research graduates

Duration: 10 weeks
Format: Workshops and one-to-one guidance

This practical programme will help you to turn your entrepreneurial idea into a viable business or social enterprise. You could also win a share of the prize money.

These workshops are designed for MRes and doctoral students and early career researchers. They are also open to research students who graduated from UCL within the past 2 years. They'll help you develop your entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and mindset to benefit your current research and future career.
