You'll learn about:
- automating email tasks using Text Blaze
- creating content with ChatGPT and Gemini
- managing PR and social media with Canva
Who it’s for
This workshop is open to students, staff and recent graduates (within 2 years of graduating) who are new to freelancing or just keen to learn more.
What to expect
The session is split into four sections, each lasting 20 minutes, where you'll watch a demo and then spend some time experimenting.
Breakout sessions and a design sprint will allow you to put these tools into action. By the end, you'll leave with a clear plan for integrating these technologies into your business.

- recognise how AI technologies can be applied in a freelance business or side hustle
- learn how to combine AI with other tools to reduce time spent on admin or repetitive tasks
- gain hands-on experience using AI tools and platforms
- understand the ethical issues and challenges that come with AI

About the tutor
Daren White is a highly experienced teacher and senior leader with a passion for integrating technology into education. Daren is the Academic Technologies Lead at Lift Schools, one of the UK's largest Multi-Academy Trusts. He was named in the #edtech50 2021 and in 2023 he won the Skills Development Champion Award at The Edufuturists Awards.
