Who it’s for
This session is open to all UCL students, staff, and alumni who graduated from UCL within the past 2 years.
You don't need any business experience or a startup idea to attend.
UCL doctoral students will receive one DocSkills training point via InkPath and the Doctoral School for completing this session.
What to expect
This is an interactive session where you’ll learn how to research, plan and manage a project.
You’ll use AI and free tools to explore markets, understand customers and define problems.
You’ll also learn how to set clear goals and structure your work so you can move forward with confidence.

About the tutor
Theo Ohene is a growth strategist, advisor and founder of Skyamo, a growth marketing consultancy that helps SaaS startups, apps and marketplaces scale profitably. He’s worked with venture-backed startups across San Francisco, New York and London, leading growth from early traction to millions of users. He also writes at Growth Roadmaps and advises startups as a Growth Partner at Seedstars and a Seedcamp Expert, supporting early-stage companies across emerging markets.
Theo has coached over 100 early-stage founders through his role as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at King’s College London, where he also developed and delivered entrepreneurship curricula for business and PhD students.
