Overview

This free workshop is aimed at any freelancer, entrepreneur or business owner who identifies as a woman or gender non-conforming.

You’ll learn about strategies and tools to help you: 

  • overcome perfectionism and self-doubt
  • confidently set prices and communicate your value
  • build resilience against challenges, setbacks and rejections

Through interactive exercises, you’ll have the chance to practice strategies in real-time, so you’ll leave the session with tangible skills you can apply immediately.

Who it’s for

This workshop is open to students, staff and recent graduates (within 2 years of graduating) with an interest in freelancing or setting up a business.

What you’ll learn

In this workshop you’ll learn about:

  • Strategies for charging your worth: Understand how to price your services confidently and fairly, reflecting the value you bring to your clients. Learn practical tips for negotiating rates and standing firm on your pricing.
  • Overcoming perfectionism: Explore techniques to let go of the need for everything to be “perfect” and focus on progress over perfection. Discover how perfectionism may be holding you back and how to reframe your mindset for growth.
  • Conquering self-doubt: Identify the root causes of self-doubt and learn actionable methods to build self-confidence. Develop tools to silence your inner critic and step into your role as a competent and empowered professional.
  • Building a resilient mindset: Gain insights into fostering resilience in the face of challenges, setbacks, and rejections, common in freelancing and entrepreneurship.
  • Enhancing your presence: Tips for confidently communicating your value, both online and offline, to potential clients, collaborators, and stakeholders.

This workshop will provide not just knowledge but also the confidence and tools to thrive in your professional journey.

About the tutor

Annie Bell supports ambitious business owners and aspiring freelancers with productivity, prioritising and time management. She specialises in helping you to coach yourself and use your mindset to get work done, make decisions faster, set goals that work, and stick with it when things are hard through building awareness of how your thoughts, feelings and actions shape your results.
