Stress test your idea for a new business or social enterprise and begin to formalise your business idea.
What is validation?
Idea validation is the process of assessing a business idea's potential for success before investing time and resources into it.
In this workshop you’ll learn about validation approaches, practical tools and frameworks to help ‘stress test’ the validity of your idea.
The workshop will help you:
- begin to formalise your business idea
- consider how you’ll create value for your customers
- test your assumptions and opportunities with peers and experts
Who it’s for
Entrepreneurship is for everyone.
This workshop is for students, staff and recent graduates (within 2 years of graduating) who are new to entrepreneurship.
You don't need any business experience, but you’ll gain more from the workshop if you come with an idea for a business or social enterprise which you want to validate and develop.
What to expect
This is an interactive session, where you’ll engage with a variety of tools, frameworks and example case studies to take your business concept from idea to reality and launch it.
What you’ll learn
To help you stress test your idea, you’ll learn about key approaches to idea validation, using a range of practical tools and frameworks. These approaches will include the ‘Triple Bottom Line’ approach to measuring your business impacts, and competitor analysis.
You’ll also learn about the concept of value exchange, and how this can help you create a first stage value proposition statement to launch your business idea.
