If your research is in life, physical or medical sciences, you might be able to develop your idea with funding from other UCL sources.
UCL Business
UCL Business (UCLB) can help you access funding both from within the organisation and beyond. This includes two significant funds.
UCL Technology Fund
This £53 million fund invests in opportunities to commercialise intellectual property. Its focus is on the physical and life sciences.
The fund is jointly managed by UCLB and Albion Capital, who’ll work with you to support your application.
You can use the funding to:
- prove your concept
- improve licensing outcomes
- support spinout companies
Visit the UCL Technology Fund website to find out more.
Apollo Therapeutics Fund
This fund is a collaboration between three pharmaceutical companies (AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline and Johnson & Johnson) and the technology transfer offices of UCL, Imperial College London and the University of Cambridge.
The £40 million fund supports early stage biomedical projects that could have a real impact on patient treatments and outcomes.
There are no deadlines or funding calls. If you have a project that you think is relevant, get in touch with a UCLB business manager or visit the Apollo Therapeutics Fund website to find out more.
